Plans and provides direct professional nursing care to specified patients throughout the episode of service delivery as defined by population and area. Applies clinical and forensic knowledge related to acute sexual assault/abuse in order to provide comprehensive medical/forensic examinations in accordance with established policies and procedures. Clearly documents all pertinent aspects of care. Ensures patients and families are provided follow-up resources upon discharge. Fulfills mandated reporter requirements.

RN License. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in pediatric/and or emergency nursing. Documented completion of Adult/Adolescent Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Course (did actic and clinical). Documented completion of Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Course (didactic and clinical) looked upon favorably Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification.
